Fairbanks North Star Borough School District has brought together Randy Smith Middle School, Delta CyberSchool (Whitestone Training Center), and Nenana Cyberlynx in this project to involve middle school teachers and children in a project exploring alternative-energy possibilities in Alaska. Randy Smith Middle School is a small school of 486 7th and 8th graders located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Delta CyberSchool and CyberLynx are distance delivered, public virtual education schools that serve 1,974 home-schooled children across the entire state. Both cyberschools are instantly available through the Internet. Our business partners have been selected for their expertise in the renewable energy field. The lead partner is Alaska Renewable Energy (ARE), with supporting partners ABR, GW Scientific, and EEInternet.
